How Does Ordering Work For Diamond Engagement Rings?

1) For diamond center stones smaller than .50ct, you can place your order through our online checkout process.
2) For diamond center stones larger than .50ct, the price listed online is a best estimate. To place an order, e-mail us at info@giacomellijewelry.com. We'll send you photos and specs of the best available GIA certified diamonds within the listed price range as soon as possible.
3) After receiving your approval on the center stone, production takes about 3-5 weeks from receipt of payment.


Can I split up my payments or do I have to pay in full?

For rings with a diamond center stone larger than .50ct, you have the option of paying in either one or two installments. If you choose to pay in two installments, 50% is to be paid to start production on your ring. We will notify you once the ring is finished at which point, the balance will be due. If we do not receive the full balance within ten days after notifying you of the completed ring, this will be considered a forfeiture of the ring with no refund of the first payment in order to cover our production costs.


For rings with moissanite or white sapphire center stones, do I need to email you to place an order or can I do it online?

For moissanite, white sapphire, black diamond, or any other alternative center stone, you may order through our online checkout process.


How much does shipping cost?

We offer free domestic shipping on all of our items.


Do you ship internationally?

Yes, shipping takes approximately 3-7 business days depending on customs. It costs approximately $150 - $250 depending on the value of the piece. For international orders, customer is responsible for taxes and duties upon delivery. Giacomelli Jewelry will not be responsible for the cost of clearing your items through customs.


Should I Get Insurance For My Rings?

Yes. We highly recommend insuring your ring, especially if it’s a diamond center stone. You never know what can happen and you want to make sure you’re protected. It’s very easy to get insurance as an extension of your renters or home owners insurance policy.


What kind of diamonds do you use? Are they conflict free?

The diamonds we use are based on your personal preferences and budget. We source our diamonds responsibly from local dealers who use ethically sourced stones, always taking into consideration the environmental and ethical impacts of purchasing stones.


I Want To Propose To My Girlfriend But How Can I Find Out Her Ring Size?

1. You can get a ring sizer/mandrel from Amazon for just a couple dollars, and use it to measure an existing ring.
2. Take one of her rings to any store that sells jewelry and they’ll measure it for you.

Is There A Way For Me To See Your Rings In Person?

Absolutely. We are located in Los Angeles and are happy to schedule an appointment to meet with you. We can also set up a Skype or FaceTime call.


Can I Find Your Jewelry In Stores?

For us to bring you the most creative designs at the best possible prices, we have chosen to only sell online at this time.


What If I Want To Use My Own Center Stone?

We love the idea of using your family heirloom in our pieces! Just send us an email at info@giacomellijewelry.com and we can discuss options.


Can I customize a design with different gemstones?

In most cases, yes depending on what stones you choose and their availability. Just send us an email at info@giacomellijewelry.com and we find out exactly what you’re looking for and then provide you a price quote for your customized piece.


Where is your jewelry made?

We believe in producing domestically and all of our products are meticulously hand-crafted in Los Angeles, CA.


Is It Safe To Use My Credit Card Online On Your Website?

Yes, your personal online security is of absolute importance to use. We use Shopify, one of the world’s largest eCommerce platforms, and STRIPE, a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details and safely transmits your information. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. We also accept payments through PayPal, and can receive offline payments if that is your preference.


Do I Need To Pay Sales Tax?

If you’re shipping within the U.S. sales tax will only apply to orders within the state of California. No other tax will be applied on orders shipped to any other states. Please be aware that all customs related local taxes are the customers responsibility.


Is My Personal Information Kept Private?

Your personal information is always kept private and confidential. Feel free to read more about this in our privacy policy.


Do You Provide A Warranty?

For items over $1,000, we’ll cover the cost of repairs under normal wear and tear for the first year after purchase up to $250. Basically, this means if a small stone was to fall out, we’ll replace it free of charge and check the tightness of all other stones.
All shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. If the issue is determined to be a manufacturing defect, we will make the repairs free of charge. If the jewelry we receive from you is noticeably bent, exhibits overt signs of improper care, or is damaged in any other manner, we will repair the ring at cost. An estimate will be provided ahead of any repairs.
Please note - this warranty voids if any other jeweler makes alterations or repairs to your jewelry. We accept no responsibility for work undertaken by other jewelry’s, including resizes.

How Do I Get My Ring Resized?

If you purchase a ring from us, we can re-size it for free within the one year warrantee period. All shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.


What’s Your Return Policy?

Since everything we sell is made to order by hand, there is incredible care and effort that goes into each item. For this reason we currently do not accept returns or exchanges. However, we are 100% committed to making sure you are completely satisfied and comfortable with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please email us right away so that we can resolve any issues. We will do our absolute best to take care of you.
